Damascus – Foreign Minister Al-Shaibani Discusses Refugee Return Efforts with UNHCR High Commissioner Filippo Grandi

Damascus – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Mr. Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, met with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Mr. Filippo Grandi.
During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed the importance of supporting the efforts of the Syrian Government to create the appropriate conditions for the safe and voluntary return of refugees. They also emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in order to ensure a dignified return and to meet the essential needs of returnees.
