Statement Issued by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of The Syrian Arab Republic
Damascus, October 9, 2025 – The Syrian Arab Republic welcomes the announcement of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and expresses its hope that this development will contribute to ending the suffering of civilians and opening the way for urgent humanitarian and relief efforts, thus paving the way for a period of regional stability.
Syria expresses its appreciation for the efforts and mediation undertaken by the State of Qatar, the Republic of Turkey, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the United States of America in reaching this agreement.
